Two Baskets of Figs

I can?t take credit for this but Dr Mike Bagwell did an extensive exegesis of Psalms 91. I have simply taken his study of the content and put it all together. The link to his study is at the bottom.

Please note that Psalms 91 is CONDITIONAL!!! *IF, *THEN, *BECAUSE, *AS A RESULT

1 If you will sit and remain in the secret hiding shelter of the Possessor of Heaven and Earth then you will stop and stay under the defensive shadow of the sustaining and strengthening Almighty.

2 I will say, and keep saying, that The One Who Is, is my shelter. I run and escape and he catches me in His defensive net.?My Father, my defended castle, Jesus my castle of defense. Holy Spirit, I will run to over and over.

3 As a result, God will always rescue and snatch you away from the catcher and entangler that has set traps of tricks; abrasion and harassment, and from sickness, danger and destructive words.

4 God will always fence in, surround with protection. Under the wings of the Father you are forgiven, made righteous and are qualified to receive overflowing and more than enough blessings in every area of your life.

5 Because you are forgiven and righteous and qualified you will not be afraid or startled of sudden alarms at night or disturbing forces from a distance during the day,

6?Or of plagues, disease and illness plotting at night, or of destruction, ruin, eradication that looms and grows during the day.

Note: the correspondence…

Terrors Arrows Pestilance Destruction
Timing Distance Illness Death
Night Day Night Day

7 A familiar crowd of people will fail, tumble and die at your side. An infinite number of people will tumble, fail and die at your right side but terrors, arrows, pestilence and destruction will not come close to you physically or spiritually.

8 With your own eyes will you observe, watch and see what happens to those who do not rely on God.

9 Because you have set and appointed Jehovah, the Self Existent One, (and not looked back on your decision) your shelter to run and escape to; indeed The Possessor of Heave and Earth is your spousal home.

10 No evil thing will approach or come near you. No, you will not receive a hard hit and nothing from a finger prick to disease will come near your home.

11 God has personally placed in your angels hands the responsibility to care for you, focus toward you, guard, watch and protect you day and night in all of your ways.

12 Your angels meticulously lift and carry you in their hands so that you do not stumble.

13 You will stomp upon, march forward on and subdue lions (fears), dangers (verbal attacks/lies) and snakes (hidden fears/attacks) and young lions (aggressive fears) and dragons, serpents and monsters (aggressive attacks), will you stomp on.

14 Because you have clung to Me, I will vigorously protect and bring you into My security; you will be inaccessible to your enemies, because you know Me intimately.

15You will cry out loudly on Me continually, and I will heed, give My attention to, answer and respond to you; I will move on your behalf; I will be with you when you are under presser (being constricted and in stress). I will equip you and deliver you AND I will honor, give weight/importance to you.

16With long life (days, years and TIME) will I give enough and fill to the full (so that you need no more); and display My deliverance, aid and victory through Jesus (Yeshua)!

Hand on the Helm By Katherine Pollard Carter Copyright 1977. Chapter 5. “Ninety-First Psalm Became Their Impenetrable Shield” “For four long years, in the front line warfare of World War I, the British regiment commanded by Colonel Whittlesey had not one single battle casualty. They did not lose a single man! They could only give one explanation for this incredible record. “During those interminable years of danger and valor, every officer and every enlisted man in the regiment daily affirmed his faith in God’s protection by repeating the Ninety-First Psalm.” “Each officer and soldier in the regiment carried a complete… Read more »
