I want to go straight to the folds. 30 Fold Soil, 60 Fold Soil and 100 Fold Soil. The seed does not produce the fold turnover. The SOIL does.
The folds are levels of fruit, levels of return and levels of revelation. ?We look at Reaping and Sowing in one way. When I sow seed do I see a return? The only time we evaluate the soil is if there is no return. We need to evaluate the soil when there IS a return also. If I see a return than I think well that?s that. BUT, what level fold did you receive?
What does a 30 fold return in this area of my life look like?
What does a 60 fold return in that area of my life look like?
What does a 100 fold return look like?
What about these categories?
Let?s take this a step further?
In Matthew 7:24-27 both people hear the word, both build houses, but only ONE obeyed the commands. They both looked like they were doing the same thing from the outside. You can?t tell the difference between the two until the storm came? or when LIFE hit them in the face.
Have you built portions of your house on rock and other portions on sand?
Did you build your kitchen on the rock but your study on the sand?
Did you build your study on the rock but your master bedroom on the sand?
What areas of your life are built in complete and utter trust in God?
I can guarantee you there is an area in your life you don?t trust God 100%.
I end with this quote from TD Jakes?
If you want to KNOW God as a HEALER… you’re gonna have to be sick, ill or broken.
If you want to KNOW God as a WAY MAKER… you’re gonna have to be stuck, lost or in a jam.
If you want to KNOW God as a PROVIDER…? you’re gonna have to be lacking, broke or wanting.
If you want to have a TESTIMONY and a strong ANOINTING… you’re gonna have to be tested and proved, you’re gonna have to go through a valley and you’re gonna have to go thru hell.
If you never get in trouble, you’ll never have an experience with God. How you gonna know he’s a healer if you never get sick? How you gonna know he’s a provider if you never get hungry? How you gonna know he’s a way maker if you never get lost? Somebody slipped, but God sent me to tell you the slip is a setup. ? TD Jakes
I want to categorize stones into three categories?
Three Major Categories of Stones
Remember the woman caught in the middle of adultery? Her accusers came with stones? The only way a stone to throw can be found in your hands is if you have pulled it from your heart.
Do you have a pet stone? Or a loophole stone? Maybe you are not throwing an ugly jagged stone but just tossing a personal excuse stone.
A trump card stone? This is the stone you throw to shut down a conversation or an aggravation or a correction, even a whisper from the Spirit of God.
Jeremiah 31:33 ESV
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it ton their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Proverbs 4:20-23 ESV
My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
Have you ever been in an exchange where the other party is throwing stones at you and you don?t have it in you to throw one back? It?s not a feeling, it is certainly not a religious thing ? ?Because I?m a Christian and I love God I am not gonna say/do what I really want?. You simply have love for them and there is nothing in you that can hurl back a stone. That?s a heart turned over to God. Love does not keep a record of wrong done?
I might take note here: Above I mentioned ?a religious thing.? If you find yourself saying or thinking? ?I am a Christian and I am not going to say what I am thinking because it?s not right.? You revealed that you indeed have a stone. You are just not willing to throw it. Holding onto a stone is not ok. Drop it.
You should have a hard time finding stones in your hand to throw, period. Disciples should not have stones. A seed and a stone cannot occupy the same space.
How do you scrutinize your heart? By communing with God and following the Spirit. Don?t go looking for stones. It?s easy to find or figure out what is wrong. We often weigh what isn?t working more than what is working. If you have a stone the Holy Spirit will reveal it to you. Take heed and deal with it.
It?s a thorny business. Complexities, distresses, troubles, difficulties?? Ah life? it may produce a rose but the rose has thorns.
Three Kinds of Thorns
Thorns have a great deal to do with situations that affect our senses. In Romans 8:5 (DNLT) it says,
For the ones?being?in accordance with?the?flesh are thinking the?things of? the flesh, but the?ones being?in accordance with?the?Spirit, the?things of the Spirit.
Don?t live sensually. Don?t let your five senses rule you. Many of us have heard this. Most of us know this but dang it! Our emotions catch us off guard like whiplash too often.
?I feel? I feel like?. I feel that? I feel when? I feel how?.? Our society rotates around our feelings. Feelings have become central to everything we do. I have come to abhor this. Feelings should not be elevated above all else. They change with the direction of the wind. When feelings are placed on a platform than every kind of thorn will imbed itself in us.
Discouragement, discontement and distraction have one thing in common: Misunderstanding. A failure to understand something correctly. What do we misunderstand? Purpose. If we understood purpose we would not get discouraged, we would no be discontent and we would NEVER be distracted.
Jesus specifically mentions monetary riches here. Money is a huge distraction but I also want to address other riches. Money does not necessarily mean riches to everybody?
ASK YOURSELF: What are riches to you?
Many times riches come in the form of a quick fix.
When a thorn is stuck in you Growth and Maturity stagnates? Truth wanes and Falsities wax greater and over time the truth is choked out be the lack of fire burning you, or a false fire burning you?.
2 Timothy 2:4 NLT
Soldiers don?t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them.
Let?s look at a section of scripture that has been taught a thousand times over. It?s commonly referred to as the Parable of the Sower. Personally I think it should be the Parable of the Soil because there is much more content as it pertains to the soil (the receiver) than the Sower (the giver). This parable is found in three of the four gospels (Matthew 13, Mark 4 and Luke 8). It is a good habit to gather the gospel variations together and read as a whole when they share the same story. It?s similar to looking at a cube?. Each gospel shows a slightly different face of the cube.
Now let?s look at these different soils, or earths?
The first type of soil is the WAYSIDE. In other words, along a path.
Think about a path. What happens on a path? What is a path?s purpose? Travel and movement occurs on paths. People, perhaps many people, using the path to get from one place to another. A path is not a stopping point but an active passageway. A path is well worn with first time passersby?s and repetitive travelers. A well-worn path is hard and solidified. Like a hiking trail ? used, exposed and clearly defined with little to no vegetative growth.
Can seeds survive on a path like this? No.
ASK YOURSELF: What path?s in my life are well worn? How many paths in my life have become common? What are the well-worn paths in my life that God?s seed cannot penetrate?
How many of your actions do you no longer question because it has become so common, even robotic? It?s autopilot.
Evaluate Commonly Heard Statements:
?What goes around, comes around.?
?You got a taste of your own medicine.?
?I wanted to give that guy a piece of my mind.?
?Did you catch a cold??
?If the shoe fits, wear it.?
?You made your bed, you sleep in it.?
?Carma is a ____?
?It takes two to tango.?
?When it rains, it pours.?
?It is what it is.?
?I?ll forgive, but I won?t forget.?
?I have to love you but I don?t have to like you.?
Remember in the Garden after Adam took and ate what was not permissible? God asks ?Where are you?? For all intense and purposes, Adam replies, ?I am naked.? What did God respond with? He said, ?WHO TOLD YOU?? (See Genesis 3)
Apply this to yourself. Who taught you the above statements? or any saying, way of thinking, habits? God did not teach these. These are not Kingdom concepts.
Let?s look at John 3:16 and Proverbs 4:12 for a moment?
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Believes ? Believe and KEEPS ON BELIEVING? Believing require obedience. Continually over a lifetime. (The rest of this verse is for a lesson all together different.)
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.
We must believe and adhere to THE WAY and not make our OWN WAY by choice or unconscious habit.
What worldly conceptions have you adopted that you no longer question? This is your well-worn path.
21??Not everyone saying?to?Me, ?Lord, Lord?, will enter into the kingdom?of?the heavens, but the?one?doing the will?of?My Father in the heavens.?22?Many will say?to?Me on that day, ?Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy?in?Your name, and cast-out demons?in?Your name, and do many miracles?in?Your name???23?And then I will declare?to?them that ?I never knew?you. Depart from Me,?ones?working lawlessness?.?24?Therefore everyone who hears these words?of?Mine and is doing them will be-like?a?wise?man who built his house upon the bed-rock.?25?And the rain came down, and the rivers?came, and the winds blew? and they fell against that house. And it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the bed-rock.?26?And everyone hearing these words?of?Mine and not doing them will be like?a?foolish man who built his house upon the sand.?27?And the rain came down, and the rivers came, and the winds blew? and they struck-against that house. And it fell, and the falling?of?it was great?. Matthew 7:21-27 DLNT
Matthew 7 should strike a Holy fear in anyone who reads it (the entire chapter). In this chapter two groups are contrasted…
Verse 1-5 Sinners vs Hypocritical Sinners
? –This is not about about “not judging” others. It is about sin, self righteousness and repentance. One sinner cannot point out the sin of another sinner when they are both in sin. Thus the hypocrisy. Judge yourself first!
Verse 6?Genuine Believer vs Religious?Believer
—The sinner is not the dog or the pig. The religious or fake believer is. Ouch!
Verse 7-12?Seekers vs Bumpers
–All of us will decide to seek God or not. Seekers search out God for everything. Bumpers bump into God when they want something.
Verse 13-14 Holiness vs Self Worship
? –When you realize who’s you are and who owns you then narrow is the walk. Very narrow – a fine line. This walk (relationship) with God costs you everything.
Verse 15-20 Talkers vs Walkers
–Evidence. Every person produces evidence, symptoms, signs of what their internal or secret life is like. What they say, what they do, where they go, what they watch, what they listen to… Weigh the words of leaders carefully against THE Word.
Verse 21-27 Obedient vs Disobedient
? –Judas vs Peter…. hhhmmmm… Betrayers vs Lovers….
–HEARS and continually DOES
–“I NEVER KNEW YOU” is from Yawdaw. EG: INTIMACY. Better said, WE WERE NEVER INTIMATE (no continuous intimate relationship).
–Lawlessness is used to describe those who knowingly, deliberately and willfully rebel against God laws. In other words, self rule.
–Obedience to the builders code or ignoring commands and essentials.
Genesis 4:1 (Intimacy)
1 Samuel 15 (Obedience)
Romans 1:18-31 (Seek)
1 John 3:22 (Obedience)
1 John 5 (Submission)
Proverbs 30:11-16 (Sinners)
1 John 2:3-6 (Talkers/Walkers)
Philippians 3:8-11 (Narrow Road)
Luke 8:4-15 (Talkers/Walkers)
Galations 6:1-8 (Sinners/Self Worship/Genuine)
I can?t take credit for this but Dr Mike Bagwell did an extensive exegesis of Psalms 91. I have simply taken his study of the content and put it all together. The link to his study is at the bottom.
Please note that Psalms 91 is CONDITIONAL!!! *IF, *THEN, *BECAUSE, *AS A RESULT
1 If you will sit and remain in the secret hiding shelter of the Possessor of Heaven and Earth then you will stop and stay under the defensive shadow of the sustaining and strengthening Almighty.
2 I will say, and keep saying, that The One Who Is, is my shelter. I run and escape and he catches me in His defensive net.?My Father, my defended castle, Jesus my castle of defense. Holy Spirit, I will run to over and over.
3 As a result, God will always rescue and snatch you away from the catcher and entangler that has set traps of tricks; abrasion and harassment, and from sickness, danger and destructive words.
4 God will always fence in, surround with protection. Under the wings of the Father you are forgiven, made righteous and are qualified to receive overflowing and more than enough blessings in every area of your life.
5 Because you are forgiven and righteous and qualified you will not be afraid or startled of sudden alarms at night or disturbing forces from a distance during the day,
6?Or of plagues, disease and illness plotting at night, or of destruction, ruin, eradication that looms and grows during the day.
Note: the correspondence…
7 A familiar crowd of people will fail, tumble and die at your side. An infinite number of people will tumble, fail and die at your right side but terrors, arrows, pestilence and destruction will not come close to you physically or spiritually.
8 With your own eyes will you observe, watch and see what happens to those who do not rely on God.
9 Because you have set and appointed Jehovah, the Self Existent One, (and not looked back on your decision) your shelter to run and escape to; indeed The Possessor of Heave and Earth is your spousal home.
10 No evil thing will approach or come near you. No, you will not receive a hard hit and nothing from a finger prick to disease will come near your home.
11 God has personally placed in your angels hands the responsibility to care for you, focus toward you, guard, watch and protect you day and night in all of your ways.
12 Your angels meticulously lift and carry you in their hands so that you do not stumble.
13 You will stomp upon, march forward on and subdue lions (fears), dangers (verbal attacks/lies) and snakes (hidden fears/attacks) and young lions (aggressive fears) and dragons, serpents and monsters (aggressive attacks), will you stomp on.
14 Because you have clung to Me, I will vigorously protect and bring you into My security; you will be inaccessible to your enemies, because you know Me intimately.
15You will cry out loudly on Me continually, and I will heed, give My attention to, answer and respond to you; I will move on your behalf; I will be with you when you are under presser (being constricted and in stress). I will equip you and deliver you AND I will honor, give weight/importance to you.
16With long life (days, years and TIME) will I give enough and fill to the full (so that you need no more); and display My deliverance, aid and victory through Jesus (Yeshua)!

Marginalizing Scripture and treating the gospel like grandma?s china is part of your problem, “Christian”.
READ Deuteronomy 32:46-47
You cannot pick and choose what you believe from scripture. You either take it all or leave it all. If you decide to pick parts that you like and leave other parts out you don’t like (or are not comfortable with) you are NOT a follower of Jesus. Let’s say that again, you are NOT a follower of Jesus if you criticize the scripture.
ANY portion of God’s Holy Word ignored or rejected will have dire consequences.
AThe phrase ?word of God? is quite special. It has direct Old Testament connections; particularly to Isaiah 55:11 where God says that His word goes out from His mouth and always accomplishes it intended purposes. Isaiah 49:2 also refers to God?s Servant (the Christ) whose mouth is like a sharp sword. Over and over in the Old Testament we are given instruction and information through ?the word of the Lord?. When we consider that the writer of Hebrews did not have our current New Testament as his disposal, we must recognize that he is alluding to the Old Testament view of God?s word. In the Old Testament, God spoke directly to His people through their leaders, the prophets and in audible voice. His word carried absolute authority. It was intended to bring His children into conformity with His purposes. Time after time, God?s word brought warnings to those who disobeyed.
I read a recently written article by a well known Pastor that argued for abandoning the Old Testament (basically). I was appalled. We are standing on a sink hole if this is the doctrinal direction. We cannot negate the Old Testament (the Law and Prophets). It is the foundation for the New Testament. The New Testament stands on the Old Testament. “New Testament Christians” should not toss out the significance of Torah, Commandments, Dietary and Moral rules. Our God is a God of LAW and ORDER. He has not thrown out the Old Testament.
12?For?the word of God is living and?active,?sharper than any?two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and?discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.?13?And?no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are?naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
The bible is the very voice of God, it is ALIVE! It is purposeful then, now and into the future. His very words that shaped the earth still are WORKING as we live and breathe now. This is not a book of stories but truths. It’s not a history book but a book of keys. It’s not a rule book but a legal document.
